Olin's Declaration — John M. Olin Library

Olin's Declaration, a special-collections exhibit built around a rare 1776 broadside copy of the Declaration of Independence in the John M. Olin Library at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, was designed by C&G Partners as part of the library's renovation with architect Ann Beha Architects, completed in spring 2018.

Description

The Declaration is displayed in a climate-controlled, security-rated chamber within a 75-foot archival gallery alcove. The project also includes a 60-foot archival case showcasing university alumni and affiliates, interactive interpretive elements, and a four-story tower connecting special collections to a skylit conference room.
